I was diagnosed with scoliosis at the age of 13. I was told that the condition was a result of a car accident that I had been in the year before, where I went head-first through the windshield (before seat belts were strictly enforced) at 55 mph. I was sent to the best doctors in the state for evaluation, and to help me with my scoliosis.
About this time I started experiencing migraine headaches about once a week. Since I was in puberty, all the doctors wrote it off as "body changes". I still kept visiting specialist after specialist, and every doctor from neurosurgeons to pain management. All they wanted to do was put me in a brace (which has been proved to do nothing but cause discomfort), or put rods in my back. Yet, they couldn't promise me that I'd live a quality life, and that the pain would stop, or even lessen. I met several patients who had the rods, and they wish they'd never got them. Did you know that 67% of rods will corrode or rust inside the body, and no insurance company will cover the surgery, and not many surgeons will work on them? That's a fact that thankfully kept my parents from saying "yes". Another set of doctors said that the scoliosis was causing fluid to "back up" in my neck, which caused my headaches. They wanted to cut open the back of my neck, chip out my skull all the way around my brain stem, and possibly remove brain tissue. They couldn't even promise I'd walk again! Again we said "no" and went about our lives.
I went on to graduate with honors from high school and college, but by this time I was in almost constant pain. Migraines 3-4 days out of the week (and not the weak ones, I spent most of those days in a dark room, throwing up violently from dizzyness), and pain from scoliosis. I had given up on becoming a doctor (my life's dream), or living for that matter. This is when I was reading a newspaper, and saw an advertisement for Dr. Fuh. I thought to myself, "What do I have to lose?"
A couple of weeks later I was in his office, and I heard what was the most shocking, yet wonderful news I'd ever heard. He said he could not only help my migraines, but he could reverse my scoliosis too! We couldn't believe it, but it was worth a shot. The treatments were wonderful (not as fun as Disney World, but fun to see your body change for the better). The week of my first treatment I was shopping with my mom when I ran out of the dressing room crying. She asked what was wrong and I lifted up my shirt. My belly-button was actually in the center of my abdomen, for the first time in 8 years! Three months in I stopped having migraines completely, and my curvature had decreased by about ten degrees! I had a new life, body, and a new occupation choice! That's right, because of Dr. Fuh, I am in my third trimester at Parker College of Chiropractic in Dallas, TX. I cannot wait to graduate so I can return home and start correcting scoliosis and saving lives, just like he saved mine. I am still pain free, and happier than I've been in a long time. And, I'm back on the track of fullfilling my dreams. Myranda M. - McAlester, OK
When I began my treatment, I had extreme back pain, pain in my hips, groin pain, and I could not sleep in my bed for 2 years. I tried cortisone shots and all kinds of pain medications but I was still in pain. Now I can clean my house, run the vacuum, walk, garden, and work in my flower bed. It was well worth the miles driven and I would do it all over again to get these results. I really enjoyed the treatments, the friendly staff, positive atmosphere, and lots of fun! If it wasn't for Dr. Fuh, I don't think that I would even be living today. I felt as if I was going to die. It had control of me and I couldn't shake it! Dr. Fuh knows his stuff. JoAnn H. -Eufuala OK
I couldn't hardly get out of bed or play golf . I had chronic pain in doing simple household chores and couldn't stand for long periods of time. I tried pain medications and sitting with towels behind my back, but those options didn't give any relief. I now have had no pain in my back for the last month. I have a better attitude about life being pain free and a definite reduction in stress. My experience with the treatments has been great. I could tell a difference in improvement within 2 to 3 weeks. I can play 18 holes of golf with no pain or pain medication. I just bought a home gym and am going to start working out. Keith T. - Tahlequah, OK
I couldn't drive or sit in a chair when I first came to see Dr. Fuh. I went to a medical doctor who recommended back surgery and I wanted to avoid back surgery, so I went to see Dr. Bernard Fuh. I am now pain free. I drove 122 miles one way for my treatments and had to stand in my car out the sunroof while family drove me to the treatments. My experience with the treatments has been great. I got better every time I came. I have 100% pain relief. I am now referring friends, family, and co-workers to Dr. Fuh. Definitely try this treatment instead of surgery. Shane B. - Piedmont, OK
My pain was so severe that I wanted to amputate my leg. I couldn't even function. I had no pain in his back for many months. I run swim, workout - you name it. I feel half my age. I would still be in a world of hurt if I hadn't come to see Dr. Fuh. I have seen so many back surgeries fail, and the program at Dr. Fuh's is not that difficult. You feel better each time you leave. The experience has been really good. It has got me from not being able to do anything at all to full activity. Scott R. - Broken Arrow, OK
I had terrible back and leg pain. I could only sit for 5 minutes at a time. I couldn't walk 100 feet or sleep a lot a night. I had already had a prior back surgery and didn't want to go down that route again so I sought different alternatives. I tried acupuncture and chiropractic and got no pain relief. I now feel a 75% improvement and now only have minor back pain. I drove 50 miles one way for my treatments. I just went for a 2 mile walk and feel good. I have been very happy and satisfied with my treatments. It is well worth the money spent. I would refer anyone to Dr. Fuh. It has helped me tremendously. Calvin C. - Pryor, OK
